The needs of our Clark County School District (CCSD) students are more pressing than ever as we recover from the COVID-19 pandemic and reimagine school for our children.
In the summer of 2021, CCSD families and community members came together through the Focus on the Future For Kids: Community Input Process to answer several questions, including: What do we want for our CCSD schools? How can we utilize upcoming federal funds to jumpstart our long-term, shared community vision for our schools?
The input provided by approximately 13,000 stakeholders informed CCSD’s recovery priorities and helped us create a plan to ensure COVID-19 relief and recovery funds are directed where they are needed most, including $777 million in federal funds provided through the American Rescue Plan over the next three years.
CCSD committed to reporting on the use of these funds and will utilize this website to provide updates.
Spring/Summer 2022 Update
On May 17 and May 23, 2022, the Clark County Board of School Trustees hosted a community update to share progress related to the $777 million in federal funding CCSD received to support pandemic recovery through the American Rescue Plan (ARP ESSER III). View a recording here.
CCSD would like to thank the community partners who donated their time to support the launch of the Focus on the Future for Kids effort, including the Guinn Center, Opportunity 180, and The Public Education Foundation.
